So I have said it before but I will say it again, only in Utah can you have every season in one day. Yesterday in Orem it was 70's, and today we woke up to 8 inches of snow. Crazy state. Abby was so excited though. She ran outside and made snow angels and even was able to get her Dad to play too.

This morning we took the kids to a Home Depot Workshop for kids. It was so much fun. They both love tools, and this was a safe environment for them to get help to build a project, and feel like they were in charge. They do these workshops monthly, and they are so excited for next month. Abby was able to build hers by herself, and Daddy helped Jaxon while I took pictures. After we finished we went home and watched the first session of conference, and then had a picnic outside in the front yard, and after that we painted their planter boxes. So much for the family, and the project and supplies are free. Then we went and bought some paint and brushes to decorate their planters. Hope you enjoy their fun day.

This video was made from the view of a child. Abby begged me to let her video her slides at the park so everyone could see it, so I finally gave in.
The sad part is today we found out that most of the parks will not have bathrooms open this year or cleaning, and that is a true disappointment just means we will have to find a better place to go.

So we decided to take the kiddos on a special date so we took them to Pirate Island in Orem. The kids loved this place it was so much fun, and really isn't too expensive either. Jaxon was scared of the pirate servers, but mom won the jackpots several times on the games so the kids were able to get lots of prizes. We would suggest this for family fun especially if you have boys in the family. Lots of room to run around, and the servers are entertaining.

Wow it has been a long time since I visited and updated this blog. I have a lot of reasons as to why, but who cares. So I will be posting a few different updates with pictures and without so that all of you can follow our family. One of the biggest reasons that I haven't been blogging is that I injured my back. Not sure exactly how it happened, but they called it a severe sprained lower spine. I have been pretty much laying down flat for 2 weeks, and boy has it been a boring time. I am sure though if you asked my children they would say it affected them the most. It is hard to go from playing with mom, homemade meals, parks, shopping, and fun; to mom having to lay flat and hardly move at all. Finally I can sit up for an hour at a time, and limit my walking around. I sure hope that I am done with this soon. So my kids have been eating fast food, and cereal thanks to Dad's great care for the last 2 weeks. I made them spaghetti last night, and Abby said this is the yummiest dinner we have had in a long time, please say your back is better. So wish me luck, and keep our family in your prayers that I will be completely back to normal soon.
