Our little Jaxon continues to grow. He amazes me everyday. Jaxon is trying so hard to walk. We have had to get gates to keep him from the stairs so that he doesn't take a tumble, and have had to re-teach Abby and Daddy how to shut a bathroom door. Abby found out the hard way the other day when Jaxon put her brush in the potty. YUK!! bye bye brush!

Our little Abigail the cutest model on the block. We went to the sale at Old Navy and our little Hannah Montana is very stylish and hip. She went through the whole store, but would only pick out items that she thought Hannah would wear. How am I going to explain to her when Miley stops playing Hannah Montana? I am hoping that by then, she will have moved on to the next ever amazing thing in her life.

So far I am so excited for my new challenge and the new blog. If you don't know I am starting a new blog yummierecipesbypam.blogspot.com. My challenge for the year is to try a new recipe everyday, kinda like the movie Julia and Julia. The reasoning behind it is that I bored with regular everyday food. I am changing recipes to make them for healthy and trying really really hard to introduce new foods to Abby and Bradly. Bradly is a bit picky about what he eats, and I just think for Abby to try all the new foods now would be a good thing. If you have any favorites you would like me to try, or you just want a certain food tried send me an email and I would be more than happy to fit into my new adventure. Thank-you for all of you that are following the adventure, and I hope that is is as fun for you as it is for me. :)

From TIME to TIME

Sometimes I feel like life is just frustrating. But with all the help and love that I have experienced no matter what the battle is. . . . I CAN DO IT. . . .but sometimes I need just a little more love. We have been job searching again, and trying to decide whether to work or go back to school. Bradly has been laid off 3 times, and things just aren't picking up. He searches for work just to be told that there are 500 people applying for the one position open. But we keep fighting, keep pushing on, and hope that soon we will have a job again. Its during these times that I reflect to the good times in my life, and the AWESOME people that have shown me love, kindness and compassion. My life kinda goes in four different catagories. There are the awesome people that I met and grew up with in Midland Michigan. Jen, Jim and Laneeda, Clay, Jami and Leslie, Clark Family, and too many more to mention. That was a great time in my life. It was a time that I really learned for myself what love is and how great it feels to receive it. I learned to be strong and believe in myself and just love. Next time in my life was the Washington years. The greats: Clemens, Averys, Shayne, Nita, Linda, Ruth Backman, and the many more there in Federal Way. A time in our family of cancer and trail and anguish. Then on to the single wards here in Utah. The many guys that are so awesome everyone wants them and you know later in life you will see them as apostles etc; and the girls who help you find your way and you build those lifelong friendships with. John, John, Marianne, Genevea, Jen J, Timmy, Adam, Stephanie, Emily, Jason, Ken, Jeff, and many many more along the way. Then I have the recent ones: The Kelson Family, Mortenson family, Dorothy Larson, Cami Perry, Patti Miller, Michelle Arciniega, and several others. I reflect on all the times we shared, the memories, the blessings, the strengths, the comforts, the victories and the small but simple moments. You know who you are, you know that I love you, you know that I am the person I am because of you, you know that I remember, and you know that you hold an individual piece of my heart. Thank-you so much to all of you for all that you do, have done, and will do for me in my life. I pray that I can only be a better person, because of all of you. I pray that I can be as good a parent as I have watched many of you raise your families. I pray that I can be there for my children, and teach them to love as you have taught me. This is the month of LOVE. Let us all share love, kindness, forgiveness, peace, comfort and whatever we need to help others on their life journeys. Let us give them a comfort to ease all their trials. Yes some of us will face easy trials in life, and there are others who battle everyday. Be grateful for all that you have been given. PLEASE LET THOSE WHO YOU LOVE KNOW THAT YOU LOVE THEM EACH AND EVERYDAY, because we don't know when it will be our turn to return to our Father above. Seems like lately we have seen alot of good people die young, and with no signs of illness. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO ALL OF YOU!!!! Know that I love you and forever my life will be wonderful, because of ALL of YOU! :)

Life As We Know It

I have decided that I am going to do a bit of journaling in the blog so that I don't have to have a journal for the kids and a blog. Just combine them, and share with everyone the fun things we do. So Abby is 3 3/4 years old. Abby loves playing princess, and shares a love for princesses with a love for fairies. She is caught between Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, Snow White, Aurora, and Tinkerbell. Abby loves to cook and make messes. She has a love for girly things such as make-up, beautiful hair, and finger nail painting; she sure didn't get that from mom. Abby loves watching movies. Some of her favorites are: SpongeBob, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Dora, Little Einsteins, Disney movies galore, Curious George and Hannah Montana. She acts like she is going on thirteen or 30. She loves to dance, play board games, and play with out neighbors Donovan and KaLeah. She also is really a great little snugglier. As long as you are willing to give her your lap, she will jump on up only if you have a blanky to cuddle with. Abby's favorite colors are pink, purple, brown and orange. When she grows up she wants of course to become a princess, just like snow white. Now on to our little guy, Jaxon. He is 7 1/2 months old. He has 6 teeth completely in, and is working on more. He crawls everywhere and is into everything. We were so funny saying we wanted him to crawl. Jaxon has a huge acid problem which causes him to barf alot, but we still love him. He loves Sweet Potatoes, and has decided to quit eating baby food and eat big people food. Abby says she loves that he is nice to people, and smile for them easily. Jaxon loves to play with Daddy, and it is so fun to hear them laugh and giggle together. Daddy blows on his tummy, and he screams loudly. Jaxon walks along furniture, and when you are laying on the bed he will come over and stare at you till you pick him up. He follows my voice to find me in different places in the house, and it is so fun to have a little boy to dress and teach. They are definately different than girls for sure. I chew on everything that I can get my mouth on, I walk in the bathtub, and love to crawl everywhere. I hope to walk soon. I have a little jiggle bug that I love to play with, and I am finally loving rattles and things that I can fit in my hand and throw. I just wish that we could understand what Jaxon is saying. Abby loves to refer to herself and talk in the third person, it drives me nuts though. We have a wonderful family and I am so grateful for the 2 kids that we get to raise and watch grow up everyday. We are taking the kids to get pictures taken soon, and will post some of them on here. Thank-you so much for the things that we learn. Although life at times may be challenging, we are grateful for the trials and tribulations that we are given.

Our little Jaxon thinks that my storage tubs are the greatest. He loves to push them around the house, climb in and out of the them, and lay down in them.

Abby sitting in a crowd of stuffed animals. It was just so cute, we wanted everyone to see. Reminds me a little of E.T.

Jaxon Dar Wiscombe, 7 months

Abigail Michelle Wiscombe, 3 1/2

Abby playing out in the snow on Thursday January 28, 2010.

We built a little sled hill in the front yard so she can do a little sledding this year. But where is the snow you say? Well if we had some, I would show you. This year we haven't had a lot of snow, but thats ok with me as long as it snow in the mountains!

Jaxon is quite the talker. Abby asked me if I understood what he wanted, and I had to tell her no. She however says that she can translate, usually it is something that she wants to do. It is funny. We also thought it would be cute to show his little crawling. Yes he was kinda tricked into it, but don't worry he didn't get to eat the candy corns. Instead he got rewarded with an Apple Wheel. Yummie. :)

HOLY COW

Jaxon is teething again and we are going from 4 teeth to 8. He also has finally decided to crawl. We had to be a little forceful about that. We just told him we weren't going to pick him up, so if he wanted to get around he would just crawl. Boy were we surprised when he got up immediately and decided to crawl. Is he LAZY? Or were we just making him that way? Now he is bored with crawling and moving onto the walking stage. He walks along furniture and in the bathtub, and is realizing if he walks he can get somewhere faster than if he crawls. Abby is having fun racing him crawling from room to room. She is so proud of him. Whenever he crawls on his own; she stands up, claps for him, and yells at the top of her lungs, "Mom my brother he is crawling, he is really crawling." I am slowly learning that every child is different and BOYS and GIRLS are REALLY DIFFERENT. But we love them all the same. Winter has arrived for a little bit, and we sent Jaxon down a little snow hill we made and he didn't like it at all. Abby loves being outside in the snow, and is super daring. Abby is more like me, and Jaxon is more like his Dad. So it usually ends up that I either drag Daddy and Jaxon out to play in the snow with us, or Mommy and Abby go out and Daddy and Jaxon stay inside where it is warm. We are hoping that the winter stays for a little while so we can have our snow adventures and fun. I will change Jaxon's mind about the snow. We have some great neighbors the Mortenson Family: Jayson, Shana, Donovan, and Kaleah. Abby has become very protective of them. She waits everyday for Jayson to come home from work, so she can peek her head out the door, wave, and say hi. He travels for work and this last time she was so worried for him, that when he arrives home she was so grateful. Come on she is 3, should she really be worrying about grown-ups. Shana, Donovan, and KaLeah hang out with us. We play in the snow, or just let the kids run around crazy. We played CandyLand the other day, and now are stuck playing it everyday. Donovan is a little older than Abby and I think she likes that. Abby also likes to take KaLeah under her wing and mother her a bit. We are so grateful for the friends we make and for the great times that we share. Thanks neighbors for finally being normal, and a great family we hope to keep in touch with forever.

The making of a Sugar Cookie. Here is a fun video of our family time making sugar cookies. Abby has been in a I am a fabulous cook mood, and I am taking advantage of it. I am teaching her new things, and helping her learn to cook. She is really pretty good. Ya maybe she is a bit messy, but what 3 year old isn't. We hope that you enjoy watching the video as much as we did.

So here it is the middle of January in Orem, Utah and there is no snow. Abby and I had been talking all fall about how much snow we will get, so we can sled and build snowmen. Apparently that isn't the case. She has been really disappointed in the snow fall. We have had a few really good snow storms, but lately we haven't had any at all. Not even the kind of storms that snow and don't stick. The other day we were all playing outside, and it was 59 degrees. Can it really be that warm in the middle of the winter in Utah? Yup! This has been the first winter for me that has been so mild. I do like it better now that it has been snowing a lot all at one time, and then gives us a couple weeks to clean it up and put the roads back to the way they belong. I love the snow, but I hate UDOT plows because they use cars as targets!!!! Scary. The weather forecast says there will be snow next week, so lets hope its true. I will take the kids sledding and build a snow family just so Abby will be happy. Utah= Greatest Snow On Earth
